THERAPEION THERAPEUTIC RIDING CENTER

Libby Marks-Shepard
Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International certified instructor and Program Director
Libby began her therapeutic riding career by volunteering at a center near Indianapolis. She became a PATH International certified instructor in 2005 and founded Therapeion in 2007. She is in charge of program development and is Therapeion's primary instructor. She is also certified with the Certified Horsemanship Association as a riding instructor.
Libby graduated from Purdue in 1976 with a BS in biology and from Butler University in 1983 with a BS in pharmacy.
She lives with her husband, Dennis Shepard, at Shepard Stable. Shep and Libby have four grown kids and eight grandkids. When she's not busy with Therapeion's business you can probably find Libby on the horse trails around Indiana with her husband. She also enjoys the occasional horse show, showing English classes on her APHA mare, Phoebe, and running barrels and poles on her AQHA mare, Tee Jay.
