Kristen graduated from Purdue University as an Animal Sciences major with a minor in Organizational Leadership and Supervision (OLS). While attending Purdue, she was involved with CHAPS, the Purdue Zoological Society, and Disney Campus Reps.
She currently is employed at the Purdue Research Park , but hopes to have a career as an Education Director of a Zoo. Kristen loves working with both kids and animals.
While in South Africa in the summer of 2006 Kristen was able to ride an elephant and play with lion cubs and other cute animals. Her favorite animals are leopard geckos, elephants and gorillas.
She is excited to be helping with the Therapeion program because she not only see a need for it in the community, but understands the positive effects it can have on the participants. Kristen looks forward to not only meeting the riders, but also the wonderful volunteers who will make the program possible.
