Buddy is an 11 year old registered Quarter Horse gelding who was donated to our program in 2008. Buddy has been ridden both English and Western, has worked cattle, and has shown in jumping events. He is a sweet and easy going boy and loved by all who work with him.

POPEYE
2008 Therapy Horse of the Year
Popeye came to Therapeion from Indiana Horse Rescue. He was part of the first round of rescued horses from Owen County and had been in foster care from November 2006 until he moved to Therapeion in August 2007.
PAMELA
Pamela is a 21 year old Thoroughbred mare who has been there and done it. She has shown in both 4-H and Pony Club and we are happy that she is a member of our therapy team. Pam is being held by Cathy Simms, Therapeion's 2008 Volunteer of the Year.
PHOEBE
Swoon Song Two
Phoebe is Libby's personal horse and also a member of our therapy team. Phoebe is 11 years old and is double registered with the American Paint Horse Association and the Pinto Horse Association of America. Libby acquired Phoebe as a 2 year old untrained rescue horse and together they have logged over 1000 hours in the APHA Ride American Program. Phoebe is off work this spring since she is expecting her first baby around May 1st.
LYLE
Lyle is a Hafflinger cross pony and quite the friendly little boy! Lyle is around 7-8 years old. Lyle gets along great with his pasture mates and is full of energy. He and Willy have become great friends.
TINA TURNER
Like her best buddy, Janis, Tina is a true dwarf mini horse. She is a great girl and before she came to us worked with school groups and Special Olympics. She's a diva for sure and like her name sake is courageous and a survivor.
JANIS JOPLIN
Janis is a true dwarf mini horse. Janis is a sweetie and apparently doesn't realize her size. She had also worked with children with disabilites before joining our program.
Both girls keep us in stitches!
ADDY
Admiral Jess
Addy is a 22 year old registered Quarter Horse. Addy has been shown by kids for the last few years and is has been with us since the winter of 2008-09. He is a welcome addition to our horse staff. Addy is a handsome boy, well trained, and has a sweet disposition.
HERSHEY
Hershey is a tiny little guy but makes up for it in energy. He is quite the sweet older gentleman, somewhere in his late twenties, but you'd never know it by his energy level. Our smallest riders really enjoy working with him since he is "just their size".
WILLY
Windmill Junction Boxcar Willy
Willy is a registered minature horse and looks like a mini Lyle. He is fun to work with and our kids use him for ground work. Willy loves attention and came to us because he is too easy of a keeper for his own good!
