How To Help
Volunteers are the critical to the success of the Therapeion program. Each volunteer is trained to work directly with participants.
Volunteers give moral and physical support to riders and enjoy the personal satisfaction of seeing each individual's progress from week to week.
While many of Therepeion’s volunteers are "horse-people", horse experience is not necessary to volunteer. What is truly important is a desire to help and a willingness to learn. Everything else will follow. If you feel called to help please contact us to enroll in a volunteer training class. We ask that all volunteers that work directly with the riders be 18 or older. However, there are many opportunities for younger volunteer to assist.
A necessary part of running a therapeutic riding center is finding funding. If you wish to host a fundraising event, make a donation, or wish to help in any way to help keep this program financially solvent please contact the center director. Libby will be happy to discuss your ideas or answer any questions.
