HORSE SHOW
Therapeion's annual benefit horse show is sponsored by Shepard Stable and all proceeds go towards Therapeion's programing costs. Opportunities to serve include sponsorships, promotion, organizational, ring stewart, parking supervisor and staff, registration booth, announcer, judges, food concessions chair and staff, volunteer coordinator and staff, set up and tear down coordinator and staff, arena assistants during the show, runners, and plenty more!! Our 2010 horse show is scheduled for June 19th and includes halter, English, jumping, Western, 4-H, therapeutic riding, and fun classes. LOTS OF HELP IS NEEDED!FINANCE/FUNDRAISING
Therapeion's EMPOWER! Building Program includes repairs and renovations in our current facility along with the addition of an indoor arena, classroom, restroom, caregiver lounge, office, and tack room! Our fund raising goal is $330,000 and construction will begin when all funding is available. We currently are unable to offer year round programing. These additions and improvements will allow us to better serve our community! JOIN US AS WE BEGIN THIS EXCITING VENTURE INTO OUR FUTURE!The Finance Committee also is responsible for writing our annual budget, for reviewing all major expenses, and for financial planning. The committee meets quarterly.PROMOTION
We can't help people if no one knows we're here!!! If you are passionate about helping kids and love talking to people this is the committee for you!!! This is a new committee and is in need of a Chair and four or five additional members who are willing and able to promote Therapeion's programs and needs in the community.PROGRAMING
As Therapeion continues to grow we have plans to add additional programing. Plans include the addition of a program for battered women, a school literacy program, the addition of programing for adults with disabilities, workshops for Therapeion families, clinics for professionals who work with our populations, and certification workshops for NARHA instructor candidates. Members of this committee must be able to "think outside the box". Help Therapeion as we strive to help more individuals through our programs! This is also a new committee and in need of three or four members and a chair.VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT, TRAINING, AND APPRECIATION
Without our dedicated Therapeion volunteer mentors we wouldn't have a program! Help us do the best job possible when recruiting and training our volunteers. We also plan several activities a year to show our volunteer mentors how much they are appreciated, including our annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. This committee includes developing a new volunteer continuing education program along with scheduling and implementing volunteer training sessions.
